Optimist Farm launched in 2023, is located in the Indianhead-Lehigh Neighborhood not far from the Optimist Park and greenway. The farm's main focus is offering community supported agriculture farm shares (known as CSAs) to help build relationships between sustainable produce and the local community. The farm is committed to annual vegetable production achieved through organic and sustainable practices.
The farm is currently in the process of acquiring a organic certification.

Practices
Optimist Farm uses space intensive practices to grow a large quantity of produce year round in line with environmentally conscious methods, such as using non-GMO seed, making compost on-site (following organic growing guidelines), and applying no-till techniques. Combined with these principles the farm also utilizes companion planting as its main pest deterrent strategy.
