Mike and Mia Pankey, owners of M&M Farms, are proud new farmers with a passion for clean eating, homesteading, and sharing the rewards of farm life with others. Former bakery owners and longtime residents of Bay County and the surrounding areas for more than 30 years, the couple now calls Washington County, Florida home. What began as a lifestyle change for two self-proclaimed "former city slickers" quickly became a calling they could never imagine leaving behind.
Over the years, Mike and Mia discovered a deep love for growing fresh vegetables, canning, and producing high-quality, naturally grown food. Their greatest joy comes from introducing others to the rich, unforgettable flavor of clean, untreated produce. As they often say, "We like to know what we are eating, where it came from, and what has been done to it." The flavor and quality of homegrown vegetables completely transformed their palate and inspired them to help change the way others experience vegetables as well.
Married for 30 years with no children of their own, Mike and Mia joke that their plants have become their children alongside the many beloved fur babies they have cared for over the years. They take tremendous pride in the attention to detail they give their gardens, from carefully selecting the best-performing varieties to learning what truly thrives in Northwest Florida's unique growing conditions.
Practices
At M&M Farms, quality always comes first. We strive to operate as naturally as possible, respecting the balance of nature every step of the way. Our mission is simple: to provide fresh, flavorful produce grown with care and to inspire others to rediscover what vegetables are truly supposed to taste like.
