Creek Indian Corn Bumpy Road Grits

Locally ground grits made from heirloom corn. Delicious! Keep yours stored in the fridge or freezer! All of our heirloom corn varieties are Non-GMO and grown pesticide free using organic farming methods as best as possible. The corn grains are ground on our new Meadows Stone Gristmill into a mix of cornmeal and grits, which are separated by sifting through fine mesh sifters. The part, which produces the coarser ground grits, is again passed in front of a fan to remove small pieces of grain hulls that are produced in the milling process. You do not have to wash our grits to remove these hulls before cooking. We have done that for you! No other grains of any type have been on our gristmill - so you may be assured that our products are gluten free!
