About Us
We are a family owned pastured poultry farm in Jackson County, Florida. Being a large family we are very focused on sustainability, regenerative agriculture, and sourcing local products first. We are absolutely in love with protecting the 65 acre pine forest we call home and every part of its wonderful ecosystem. By combining permaculture practices and regenerative agriculture techniques we strive to provide our neighbors with the same healthy meals we enjoy.
Practices
On our farm we prioritize the health and well being of our flocks. We believe our birds should have only one bad day and every day before that should be as perfect as possible. There are no barriers between our layer chickens and wherever they choose to go, resulting in a truly free range flock. Our turkeys and meat chickens are raised in mobile coops moved multiple times a day across 25 acres of non fertilized pastures that are seeded with native wild plant species. None of our livestock are ever medicated, force fed, or supplemented with any type of growth enhancments.
Fertilized only by our chickens and turkeys, we produce seasonal vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We use recycled billboard tarps and waste cardboard to clear our garden plots as to not disturb the soil and preserve the beneficial microbes that inhabit the land. With a deep dislike of herbicides and pesticides we choose to control the unwanted growth with waste bedding from our coops, resulting in amazing growing conditions for our favorite heirloom varieties. As our small farm evolves and grows with each season we invite our neighbors to enjoy clean healthy meals with us, direct from our farm to your table.
