About Us
We are Cyle and Amber Sapp and together, with our two daughters, own and operate Forty
Creek Farms. We began raising livestock in 2011 and have dabbled in many different species
over the years, before finding our true passion, Beefalo! A cross of 5/8 cattle and 3/8 bison, they
provide a lean, red meat from the bison heritage and a much more docile animal from the cattle
influence. These animals grow better on a grass diet, using their bison heritage to better
metabolize these grasses into usable protein. We are also passionate about fresh, local foods
sustaining their communities. With local agriculture diminishing by the day, we want to do our
part in caring for our neighbors the one way we know how, by feeding them. This journey has
been years in the making, and we are excited to begin offering our communities local, healthy
options to fuel their bodies!
Our products will be listed the 1st and 3rd Sunday's of each month beginning April 2024

Practices
We breed, raise and finish all of our Beefalo in Blakely, GA. Each calf born to our farm is
registered with the American Beefalo Association. They are grass fed and finished. We like to
use peanut hay (peanut plant vines baled at harvest) to finish our animals as the added protein
makes for impeccable flavor and meat texture. We do not use growth hormones. We believe
that happy animals give us better consumable products, so we let them live as stress free as
possible. Each calf is finished in the pasture at our home, where in addition to being fed pasture
grass and peanut hay, they are provided with an abundance of garden scraps, zucchini being
their favorite! Our produce is also grown using natural methods. Through companion planting
and pruning practices, we are able to grow chemical free. Being good stewards of the land is
important to us. We use cover crops and soil management practices to ensure we are leaving
the space better than we found it.
