About Us
Hycrest Farm is a 215-acre cattle and hay farm located in Tallahassee, FL. Originally a dairy farm, this property has been owned by the Brantley family since 2017. Over the last several years, we have cultivated high-quality grasses and seasonal forage to feed our Red Devon cattle and provide bales for sale to local farmers. In addition, we sell all grass-fed, grass-finished beef. You can find our select cuts at Red Hills Market or contact us directly for half/whole cattle sales, enabling you to decide what cuts are best for you.
Most of our little herd of Devons have been born, raised, and bred solely on our farm. We rotationally graze our cattle so they benefit most from our quality grasses. Our low-stress techniques, along with no additional supplements, allow our herd to be a happy herd! At Hycrest Farm, we are focused on creating an atmosphere of increased growth and health of our land and animals. Thanks for supporting us!

Practices
Our cattle enjoy natural grazing on grass, clover, clay-iron peas, winter rye, and pasture forage. We do not allow any confined feeding, grain products, or GMO plants. The only fertilizer used on the fields is from the cattle, allowing constant soil enrichment and restored organic matter. We practice rotational grazing to provide the best food sources for our cattle and allow the pastures to heal. Not only is this practice better for the animals, but it's also better for the land on which they live. The final result is a more healthful food source for everyone.
